Why Bill raps rap stars?
After criticizing Bill O’Reilly long and hard about fixating on tabloid trash I should be ashamed of myself. And I really am. Well, sort of. But this personal tidbit perhaps helps explain an aspect of O’Reilly. It seems that before Bill married Maureen McPhilmy in 1995 she dated rap star Flavor Flav.

Yeah, that Flavor Flav. Public Enemy #1.
Now this becomes an issue because O’Reilly likes to pound on rappers. A notable example is Bill spoilng Ludacris’ Pepsi deal. A more recent sampling is Bill going after Nas. I always assumed – and it could very well be the case – this was his Father Knows Best brand of sanctimony at work but one has to wonder if Bill’s notoriously thin-skinned ego isn’t egging him on a bit.
Since I can’t get into O’Reilly’s head I’ll never know but there is some delicious irony here that just makes me giggle.
