Fox News sourcing is probably done with a Google search (All of us know if it`s on the internet it must be factual), then they pick and choose which search results fit`s the view or opinions of a right wing viewer. If one were to Google "Cordoba Spain Christians Jews Muslims" you would find any number of views of the Cordoba House both pro and con, so it`s fairly simple to guess which view people like Pamela Geller, Newt Gingrich and the rest of those slack jawed Fox & Friends types have chosen to embrace.

Dan Gainor is an unbearable clown... I've had twitter debates with him, and he just doesn't get it. Him, along with the rest of the MRC and the NewsBusters crowd, are a bunch of paranoid pansies. They have nothing better to do than complain about the no-existent "liberal media". And, on top of all that, their research on media bias is so futile and inaccurate that you can't take it seriously for a second.

The same tools that allow democratic participation and the opportunity to bear witness to atrocity can be used for spam or surveillance, such as the tracking of Iranian dissidents through cell phones, said Robert Boorstin, director of public policy at Google.

If Dan Gainor is looking for a "true American" or a "real American" all he needs to do is visit any native American Indian reservation, of course there will not be alot of them to see as most of them have been killed off long ago or forced into concentration........err reservations.

In my opinion, short of native American, there is no such thing as a real American. We are all made up of different ethnic and cultural back grounds brought to this country from many different lands.

Now if Mr. Dan Gainor’s view of a real American are those who share his political, religious and cultural values, well then I`m afraid I`ll have to bow out and excuse myself for not measuring up to his lofty standards. I think I`ll just go and hang with some tolerant Americans as opposed to his "true American" or "real American".

I think Mayor Bloomberg is party right that this is a seasonal debate to solidify the independent voters to go with the republicans this time around. As for Fox News, it's a double whammy issue that they are pleased as punch (aka Kool-Aid) to peddle because it helps the conservative cause while feeding Fox's insatiable appitite to demonize all that is not "traditional" as they percieve traditional to be in "their" cookie cutter America.

Well, we know Bill O'Reilly is absolutely obsessed with his ratings. They are a mark of validity; a demonstration of quality. It's a logical fallacy of epic proportions proving America's Funniest Home Videos even rolling into it's 21st season and a bit weary popularity-wise is of at least double the quality of The O'Reilly Factor.

The thing that irks me about this mosque flap is that after I hear all the screeching from the right-wingers I'm still left with the question what are they really angry about because their shot gunned talking points don't explain the whys.

Why is it an outrageous symbol? Say it's because they're smearing Muslims broadly and they cry foul! It isn't about religion.

Why do they think Imam Rauf is dangerous? Because he doesn't denounce Hamas? Does that make him a terrorist? When the US supported the Shah of Iran or Pinochet did that make us tyrants?

Why does funding from Saudi Arabia, a country we are allies with and do business with, and Iran make him dangerous? Laura scoffs at the notion of his funding being legal - too low of a standard for, say, Iran. Really? What if the students protesting the Iranian government passed their hats and sent the funds to Rauf? Would she object to that?

The far right is hiding the real reason of their outrage. What's so ugly that they have to shield us all from it?
